Home School Youth Bible Study Staff Sunday School We Believe

Dear fellow believers in our living Lord,

"More than all we ask or imagine..."  That's how the Apostle Paul
describes what God is able to do!  What an amazing thought!  What an
 awesome God!
This Ephesians text was the sermon text for the dedication service of Good
Shepherd Church on the campus of the state school for those with
developmental disabilities in Boulder.  Rev. Steve  Biegel, the preacher,
made an excellent choice for a Scripture passage as a  basis for his sermon
and for this occasion!  God has indeed done  immeasurably more than any
of us has asked or even imagined in this wonderful project!

What about our church?  What about our school? What about our lives as his people?  Is our God able to do immeasurably more than our requests and even our hopes?  Of course, the answer is YES!!!  In fact, I personally believe that He loves to do just that... and as He does, often in view of some of the greatest odds against His church and His people... to surprise us... with His results that are even and immeasurably more than we ask or imagine!

Does that mean that in our church and school and lives the tasks will be easy?  Of course, the answer is "NO!"  Will His results come without commitment and sacrifice and great effort on our part?  Again, "NO!"  Will we have to work (and sometimes laugh and sometimes cry) together?  "YES!"  Will His results be worth our efforts?  "Undoubtedly!"  Will it take faith?  "Yes, we must and we can trust Him!"

What surprises that are "more than all we ask or imagine" does God have in mind for you in your life?  For our church and school?  As we trust in Him, in the days and weeks and months ahead, we will see and together we will rejoice in Him!  After all, if He has given us His greatest gifts, including His Son, our Savior, can't we be certain that he will give us all other things that are good for our faith and life (see Romans 8:32)?

"More than all we ask or imagine" ... immeasurably more, God promises!  I can hardly wait!  Let's keep trusting, and working together, and hoping and living and loving!

Blessin+s to YOU in our abundantly loving and living God,

                    Pastor Larry Miller
